Can BHRT Delay Menopause?

Several factors can influence the timing and onset of menopause. Things including your age when you had your first period, your dietary choices, use of contraceptives, drug, tobacco and alcohol use, BMI, and physical health1 all play a role in determining when you might enter this stage of life.

Some of the factors that influence when menopause will begin are within your control. You can always improve your diet, exercise more, and reduce or eliminate your consumption of drugs and alcohol. However, while these things are essential for longevity and optimal health, they will likely have only a nominal impact on menopause when undertaken later in life.

BHRT and Menopause

The menopausal transition typically begins between the ages of 45 and 55. It can last for up to 14 years2. Symptoms that are common during this time include:

  • Hot Flashes
  • Fatigue
  • Night Sweats
  • Osteoporosis
  • Vaginal Dryness
  • Painful Intercourse
  • Sleep Disruptions
  • Brain Fog
  • Anxiety and Irritability
  • General Moodiness

Menopause can interfere with every aspect of a woman’s life, creating long-term physical and emotional disruptions. Fortunately, these symptoms are treatable through bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT)3.

BHRT increases estrogen levels in menopausal women, helping to decrease the symptoms of menopause and restore optimal comfort. It cannot, however, postpone menopause. Outside of lifestyle modifications, there is simply no way to delay the onset of menopause.

Lasting Relief from Symptoms

Pellecome® is a leader in BHRT technology. Our team of health and wellness professionals are fully committed to crafting the safest and most effective options for women experiencing menopause and are pleased to offer BHRT in pellet form, which is more reliable and convenient than oral medications, topical ointments, or weekly injections. However, not all pellet delivery systems are equally advantageous. This makes your choice of provider incredibly important.

Our advanced Re3® Pellet Delivery System is designed for optimal patient comfort, reduced risks, and improved outcomes. The Re3 system reduces chances for infection, bleeding, and discomfort following insertion. It also helps to ensure pellets are placed at the correct depth for reliable and sustained delivery.
